Yamah School

The roof for the School has been replaced and the Children are back in School. Pastor Amos sends his heartfelt greetings and the appreciation of all of the school children, the teachers, the school board members, his church congregation, and along with the Chief of the Village of Yamah.  He said words cannot express the gratitude of the village to those who reached out to help in a time of great need.  Thank you from all of us!

We too would like to thank those of you who opened up your hearts and responded so quickly to those in need!

The school for orphans in Yamah, Ghana suffered devastating damage from a storm last week.  The Lord protected the children and no one was hurt.  The storm took most of the zinc roof off of the school building and damaged what remained.   Everything inside was lost.

The school was built by Pastor Amos Bangmarigu about 16 years ago for orphaned children.  It is a private Christian primary school that has 13 teachers and 2 cooks.  The school is not government supported and receives no funding.  The teaching staff are all volunteers and receive no pay.

If you would like to help in rebuilding the roof structure, the estimated cost is around $15,000.  One hundred percent of your donation will go to rebuilding the school for orphans.  Even the smallest donations will help.

To help, you can click on the button to the left and specify Yamah Orphanage.
